Play with Clay!

Come and spend the afternoon in The Pottery Shed as we get creative with all things CLAY! 

Following along with our SPACE week come and make your very own clay alien! 

We will guide you through every step, from rolling the clay to shaping it and then to decide whether your alien will have 1 or 5 eyes! 

During the session squash will be provided for all those participating. For those non squash drinking people we have a sensibly priced selection of hot and cold drinks priced from just £1! We have a small selection of snacks including toasties! Please refrain from bring food and drink in for this workshop. 

Your aliens will be left to dry for several weeks and then bisque fired. After your alien has been bisque fired you will have the oppurtunity to either collect and paint at home or to come back into the studio and use our speciality glazes and then refired through our kilns. 

This workshop (£15) covers all of the tools and materials needed to make your alien and the bisque firing. Then you will be notified the firing is completed and invited back to join us after the bisque firing to glaze and refire your alien. This can be done as soon as the alien has been bisque fired. We will explain everything during the workshop - any questions please get in touch. (essentially yoru £15 covers both visits to the studio - 1st visit to make and fire and the 2nd visit glaze and fire! 

This workshop is suitable for ages 4 and above. Younger children may need assistance during the rolling out and forming stages.
