Caring for your pottery pieces.

So, you have enjoyed painting your pottery, they have all been glazed and fired through our kilns, and now you have collected them and it is time to enjoy them! Here are some handy tips for caring for your pieces to make sure you get the enjoyment of them for years to come!

Pottery Painting Pieces

We know just how much you will take great care in looking after your piece as much as we did glazing and firing it.

We tell all of our customers 'hand wash until the novelty wears off' These precious pieces aren't designed to take the harsh cycles of the dishwasher. Our usual pieces which are painted from our wide selection of pottery pieces are not suitable for the microwave either.

Can my hand painted piece go in the garden?

Yes! We have lots in our gardens at home but we do advise to bring them indoors during those harsh winter months when we having freezing temperatures.

Are they food safe?

Yes! Unless you have used our crystal glazes your pieces will all be food safe. Meaning the mugs, plates, bowls, wine tumblers, jugs, egg cups, platters, egg trays and anything else I have forgotten are all safe to use with food!

How do I clean them?

Rinsing and hand washing is best. Try to avoid leaving pieces to sit saturated in water  - this just helps prolong the beauty of your work!
